OUR STORY EASTON GRANGE
OUR STORY EASTON GRANGE
FORMERLY A FARM
It’s hard to believe that up until a few years ago, Easton Grange (formerly known as Low Farm, Easton) was home to a working farm.
Following the closure of the dairy the main buildings were used for storing wheat, potatoes and fertilizer for several years. Like so many old buildings, the farmhouse and its barns had seen better days.
TRANSFORMATION
The decision to rejuvenate Low Farm was made easy given the stunning location on the edge of the River Deben. In 2012, we set about turning the buildings and grounds into a gorgeous private hire wedding venue. Everything is under one roof with bridal dressing room, Ceremony Barn, Piano Bar and Celebration Barn all interconnected. There is also onsite accommodation next to the main building: The Bakehouse cottage is our luxurious bridal suite, while the main farmhouse features seven en-suite bedrooms – perfect for our couples’ closest family and friends.
PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE
We have taken care to preserve the character of our buildings to ensure that they remain in keeping with the tranquil Suffolk countryside. Inside we mix the old and the new, with the art on the walls paying tribute to Easton Grange’s agricultural heritage. We are also constantly looking for new ways to develop the grounds. Since opening, we have added a romantic bridge over the river and opened an Outdoor Ceremony Space for idyllic al fresco wedding ceremonies.
